Well, Marcos's 1st steps on grass haven't been a success but let's hope his lower back isn't bothering him anymore, after that short rest at home. This is the last event before Wimbledon and our champion needs matches, definitely.
I will be in Rosmalen for the weekend. Not sure if I'll see Marcos play as I'm only there until Monday night (have to work on Tuesday), and it's really more of a catch up with old friends weekend than a tennis weekend. But hopefully I should see a practice session, and if I get a chance, I will surely say hello and wish him luck from his fans here.
Pete it is, the Australian with the Polish roots and Swedish connections. Pete, whose favourite surface is the red dirt, is one of the most likeable guys on the tour and one of my faves. in the second round i will be rooting for Marcos though.
photo: Pete in his match against Jiri Vanek at 2009 Athens challenger. well, that's a blurry photo disaster, i just took the shot with a cheap camera.
Markos started his Holland trip with .... few hours at the Amsterdam airport till the officers there found out that his passport is NOT fake !!!! Good .... start.
just read the article on the Cypriot newspaper POLITIS. i assume that Marcos was frustrated by the Dutch authorities' poor form. by the way, i was wondering why Marcos doesn't hold a Cypriot diplomatic passport since he's probably the best ambassador Cyprus ever had.
