Markos is traveling today to Munich.
He will be seeded (5-8) on this tournament.
Let's hope that he will play well and make few wins. He needs some matches on clay, since he is always a slow starter.
For the history - Markos reached SF in Munich 2007

today, Marcos unveiled a completely new approach to his awfully smart game strategy.
having said that, it would take a serious change in Marcos’ views regarding his tennis to make the Thursday’s match against Chiudi all the more interesting. and, i believe that will happen this time.

www.atpworldtour.com/News/Tennis/2010/05/18/Munich-Tuesday-Baghdatis-Off-the-Mark-On-Clay.aspxBaghdatis Survives Scare In OpenerMunich, Germany by ATP Staff | 04.05.2010Cypriot Marcos Baghdatis recorded his first clay-court win of the season Tuesday, but not without a scare. The fifth seed recovered from a set down and also trailed by a break in the final set of his 3-6, 6-1, 6-2 victory over German qualifier Peter Gojowczyk at the BMW Open by FWU RETAKAFUL, an ATP World Tour 250 tennis tournament in Munich. World No. 31 Baghdatis, who came into Munich on the back of successive first-round exits in Monte-Carlo (l. to Montanes) and Rome (l. to Gulbis), needed one hour and 39 minutes to dispatch his No. 384-ranked opponent, who was making his ATP World Tour main draw debut. The 24-year-old Baghdatis, who won his fourth ATP World Tour title in Sydney (d. Gasquet) in January, is playing in Munich for the first time since posting a semi-final effort on his debut in 2007 (l. to Kohlschreiber). The Limassol next will face Swiss Marco Chiudinelli, who accounted for a second qualifier as he beat Thierry Ascione of France 6-0, 6-4 in just 52 minutes.

Marcos twitting his fans: I have no motivation to go out and practice today....its 10 degrees... drizzling all day ... pffff 19 hours agoMarcos this time of year is cold in Munich. he should have known better than trying to shrug off his duties. in any case, since he’s so ultra-sensitive to bad weather he should have chosen Belgrade over Munich. according to tennis fans’ reports, the sun was burning in Belgrade’s sky yesterday. felt like it was 35c.
