the most important match of Marcos’ career is approaching… having in mind Marcos’ silly distractions two years ago, we can safely say that it’s time to take a deep breath to turn the tide…
Marcos is so nice with his balls of steel, as long as he’s not featherbrained…
Vamos Marcos!

How sad! I don't get coverage for this AO so I just discovered in the scoreboard that Marcos retired at 6-0 4-2.
I hope it's not too serious. Rest well and come back soon Marcos.

He got a medical timeout after 1st set and he took also some pills. I think it's not serious, just he was unlucky to get this problem today...anyway. Choupi I haven't coverage either but thanks to web tv we can watch almost every match. Check this page www.myp2p.eu/index.php?part=sportsIf you download SopCast or TVU player you watch Eurosport and Eurosport 2 as well! and in wide screen!

Hi. I understand it is some problem either with his shoulder, or perhaps also with his bicep. He goes for an MRI scan tomorrow, - so hope also it's not serious.

couldn’t watch the match coz i had a vet appointment booked to euthanise my dog at 10:30 this morning… Frix had a great life and 16 years old is a remarkable age for a dog… but, his body was very frail…
hope Marcos’ injury is not too bad.

www.australianopen.com/en_AU/news/articles/2010-01-23/201001231264237944125.html?fpos=r1Baghdatis hands Hewitt easy passageSaturday 23 January 2010 By Mike SteereAustralia’s Lleyton Hewitt has secured a fourth round match-up with top seed Roger Federer after Marcos Baghdatis retired injured at Rod Laver Arena on Saturday night. Hewitt was leading 6-0 4-2 when the Cypriot called it quits. The Hewitt-Baghdatis match up was billed as the highlight of the Saturday night schedule following the pair’s classic five-set encounter at Australian Open 2008. However, Baghdatis struggled with his shoulder through the match, and at 4-2 in favour of Hewitt in the second set, he approached the umpire and said he could not continue. Baghdatis’ withdrawal followed a one-sided first set that saw Hewitt win 6-0, with the Cypriot managing to win just six points in the entire set. The 22nd seed looked completely dominant, as Baghdatis produced regular unforced errors and failed to hold serve once. In between sets, Baghdatis called for a medical timeout as he had his shoulder worked on. He looked slightly stronger at the start of the second set, as he held serve and threatened Hewitt’s service in the third game of the set. But at 3-2 down, Baghdatis again dropped his serve and then made the decision not to continue. Following the match, Baghdatis said his bicep tendons appeared to be the issue. “I just feel some pain in the shoulder. In the match I just couldn’t hit the forehand, I couldn’t control the ball,” he said. Baghdatis said he had not been aware the injury would be so bad before the game. “I wasn’t thinking about it, I had a bit of pain but nothing unusual. I didn’t think it would be this painful and this bothering during the match.” Hewitt now faces world No. 1 Federer in the fourth round on Monday.

Supposedly the injury is not so serious - will need 5-6 days rest and then he should be OK for Rotterdam.
Choupi - I watch almost everythijg on the Net - there are some very good sites out there and they always give you links to the relevant ones in the special Livestream Threads on MTF.
