Jo-Willy played a superb tie-break and won the opener 7-6(2).
i expect Marcos to succumb to the emotional aspect of his nature, but hope otherwise...

Jo-Willy saved a lot of break points with some clutch play in the sixth game and the eight game; he's the number 5 in the world and deservedly so.

Marcos lost to Jo-Willy 7-6(2) 6-4. he needs to improve the weaker aspects of his game and go to the States with the right frame of mind. good luck in the Southern California desert, Marcos.

from Marcos' official site:baghdatis.com/articles/view/marcos-edged-out-by-tsongaMarcos Edged Out By TsongaTuesday, 28 February, 2012Marcos was edged out in the first round of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships on Tuesday, falling to World No. 5 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 7-6(2), 6-4 at the ATP World Tour 500 hard-court tournament. A strong performance from Marcos saw him serve for the first set at 5-4, but he was unable to close it out and paid the price as Tsonga hit back in the ensuing tie-break. Marcos failed to convert five break point opportunities in the second set and rued his missed chances as Tsonga broke decisively in the fifth game before closing out victory in one hour and 36 minutes. Listen To Marcos InterviewNext up for Marcos will be the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, beginning on 8 March. Stay tuned to www.baghdatis.com.
