He's playing Benoït Paire for his 1st round match. And he's also in Nadal's part of the draw...Playing a French player in Paris won't be easy for Marcos, as it wouldn't be for any other player. But Marcos 's link with France will certainly help reduce the toughness

Many matches have been postponed today due to rain over Paris.

Marcos and Benoît Paire entered the court around 7PM. Marcos won the 1st set 6-3. Benoît took the 2nd 7-6. And the match has been stopped due to darkness and rain after Paire broke Marcos in the 7th game, leading 4-3. The 6th game of that 3rd set lasted for a long time and none of the players wanted to give up. Marcos finally couldn't convert the 8 breakpoints he had in this game. The match isn't over for sure but tomorrow is another day...

Well things are already over for Marcos as he lost to Benoît Paire in 4 sets.

Coming back on court, Paire confirmed his break over Marcos and held serve to take the 3rd set 6-4. He finally defeated Marcos 3-6 7-6 6-4 6-4.

It was Kids' Day today in Roland Garros so at least, kids have been very happy with what they could see
