Marcos defeated Berlocq and will next face Wawrinka Baghdatis Sets Wawrinka Clash
Marcos Baghdatis set a second-round clash with Stanislas Wawrinka at the Malaysian Open, Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday. The Cypriot defeated Carlos Berlocq 7-6(3), 6-3 to earn his 14th win of the season.
Baghdatis and Wawrinka clashed last month in a four-set third-round contest at the US Open. Wawrinka prevailed before going on to reach his first major semi-final (l. to Djokovic). There's been no revenge of the US Open today...Stanislas Wawrinka defeated Marcos 6-1 7-5. Second seed Stanislas Wawrinka began his Malaysian Open, Kuala Lumpur campaign on Thursday with a 6-1, 7-5 victory over 2011 finalist Marcos Baghdatis.
