Marseille is behind. Time for Rotterdam. Hope Marcos can forget about that lost semi in Marseille pretty easily and focus onto his Dutch adventures. Official website: www.abnamrowtt.nl/home.aspx?SN=31

Söderling defeated Marcos 6-3 3-6 6-4 I know that the Swede is a very good indoor player but I can't help feeling disappointed.

Seems to have been a tough match. From the site of the event: Baghdatis unable to beat Söderling 19-02-2008
Having spent seven months on the sidelines with a wrist injury, Robin Söderling finally returned to the tour last week, reaching the quarterfinals in Marseille. He also made his presence felt in Rotterdam this afternoon, beating number eight seed Marcos Baghdatis for a place in the second round: 6-3, 3-6, 6-4. The first three-setter of the tournament proved a highly exciting contest from start to finish, with Söderling and Baghdatis treating the crowd to one spectacular rally after another.
In many ways, the rally at matchpoint was illustrative of the entire match – forced into an impossible position, Söderling passed his incoming opponent with an equally impossible shot down the line. Today’s victory gives the Swede a 3-1 lead in the head-to-head. Söderling: “I felt a little unsure about my game in Marseille, but today’s victory has done wonders for my self-confidence.’ www.abnamrowtt.nl/nieuwsdetail.aspx?SN=2237
