Today the organisers announced that Gastón Gaudio will replace Marat Safin (Marat was elected deputy of the Russian Olympic Committee and can’t go out of town for those four days). articleand I just wanted to say I love Gastón so much… excellent news for me! ;D Gastón, Nalle and Marcos is my top favourite trio (well, along with Richie, Muzza and Rafito… )

Marcos defeated Gonzalez 6-2 6-2. Probably the most boring match in the history of tennis exhos as Feña was practically non-existent, Marcos played decently though. In the first set, Marcos broke Feña’s serve twice (in the first and the third game), and closed that set confidently. In the second set, Marcos broke Feña in the opening game and… I just fell asleep at 3-2 on Marcos’ serve…

====================================================== I currently don't have time to translate it into English (and you all probably know my deep-seated scornful hatred for the automatic translators ). Luckily enough, I’m sure that Choupi and Rose have developed a strategy to understand written Spanish and Nadine is currently attending an intensive Spanish course. As for the lurkers, well, perhaps I can pull them out from their lurkdom… Jelena, anyone?

Getta I'm really sorry to disappoint you as my knowledge of Spanish is quite inexistant.

OK - as I've been asked - here is a (very) quick translation. Really nothing very thrilling in that article!

Copa Argentina: The evening's play suspended due to rain
The organisers have decided that play will begin tomorrow at noon with Nalbandian v Gaudio, followed by Baghdatis v Monaco after a 30 minute interval. The final will take place at 8.00pm.
Due to heavy rain over the city of Buenos Aires, the organisers of the Copa Argentina decided to cancel the night's play. Later, at 8.00pm, there Final will be contested. If there are no surprises, Nalbandian will come through to play against the winner of Pico and the Cypriot.
Nalbandian came through Group 1 last night defeating Carlos Moya 6-2, 6-4. On Thursday, he had also overcome Gaudio 6-3, 2-6. 6-4. In Group 2, on Thursday, Monaco beat the Chilean Fernando Gonzalez by 7-5, 6-4, and last night the man from across the Andes returned to lose again, falling 2-6, 2-6 to Baghdatis.
