hope Marcos doesn't get dumped out by the heavy serving ball-basher Jérémy. Marcos will need to sharpen up on his own return. Jérémy often falters with his return of serve, he will put up a strong fight though. just take a closer look at the first photo [/li][li][/sup]. well, Marcos obviously knows how to get it done today. [/li][li][/sup] it's a shame that Marcos skips Barcelona. great tournament, with luck i'll be there again same time next year.

Marcos lost 5-7 6-2 6-7.... I watched only the first set. Marcos was 5-2 up, but Chardy took it finally. Marcos lost some setpoints there.

Jérémy will put up a strong fight though. i didn't see the match but it's safe to say Jérémy proved me right. it's really tough for Marcos now, good thing is he was given day off to regroup. now, he has Cincy ahead of him. last time he played a main draw match there was three year ago, that was his narrow loss 7-6(5) 7-5 to Federer. back then Marcos went down physically and mentally because Federer had won the first set despite playing horrendous tennis in the unforgiving weather that this city is notorious for... it would be nice if Marcos drew Federer in the second round next week. it'd be a fantastic opportunity for him to lay to rest the ghosts of the past as he looks determined to take his tennis to the next level. and, the inevitable is inevitably just around the corner, US Open. Marcos intends to display his full set of skills there.

At the middle of first set, he took a medical timeout for his foot as well. I forgot to mention above.
