It is broadcasted in France, but we don't have complete coverage everyday. I'm lucky today because Marcos is scheduled when we get coverage.

Marcos won 6-3 6-4. Solid match, impressive on his serve. Up to how we know him....entertaining the crowd on some points.
When interviewed after the match, he said, in very good French, that he was happy he was through because 1st round matches are always tough, he's happy because he's played a good match and also because he's had fun on the court, which is very important for him. He added that whenever he was playing in France, or playing a Frenchie, he had a little pressure....(come on!!) He feels confident for the upcoming match.

From ATPtennis.com: Seventh seed Marcos Baghdatis fired 12 aces in a 6-3, 6-4 win over Janko Tipsarevic to reach the second round of the Open 13 in Marseille Tuesday. Baghdatis dropped just four points on his first serve and saved all three break points he faced.
The Cypriot, who was the lone seed in action on Day 2, is coming off his second career title in Zagreb. He improves to 11-3 on the year and has now won six consecutive matches since his second-round loss at the Australian Open. www.atptennis.com/1/en/news/news2.asp

You were absolutely right Christos. I've only been able to watch, live, the 1st and 2nd sets. Yes, they showed basketball after Marcos won the 2nd set after a crazy tiebreak. Final score 2-6 7-6 7-5!! In the 1st set, Youzhny was simply above. Nothing much to do. In the 2nd set, Marcos played more aggressive and finally won the tiebreak, with the crowd behind him. The 3rd set badly began because Marcos got broken in the very 1st game. But he kept on struggling and finally broke back at 4-3 for Youzhny. He then could hold his serve till the end and broke Youzhny a last time to take the match. Marcos will play Nieminen in the semi tomorrow!! Allez!!
