Well it seems nobody started this thread. Better late than never.
From Marcos's official site:
Wednesday, 15 August, 2012 Marcos is through to the second round of the Western & Southern Open on Tuesday in Cincinnati with an emphatic 6-4, 6-1 victory over Colombian lucky loser Alejandro Falla. Marcos had been due to face 11th seed Gilles Simon, but the Frenchman withdrew with a shoulder injury.
In the 63-minute contest, Marcos converted five of his six break points and lost just eight points on serve in the second set. It was his 26th win of the season. He goes onto face either Frenchman Richard Gasquet, finalist last week in Toronto, or Canada’s Milos Raonic on Thursday.
Marcos has enjoyed success at this ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournament in the past. Two years ago he defeated then-World No. 1 Rafael Nadal to reach the semi-finals before falling to Roger Federer.

Thursday, 16 August, 2012 Marcos was beaten in the second round of the Western & Southern Open on Wednesday in Cincinnati, falling victim to 22 aces in a 6-7(6), 6-3, 6-4 defeat to Canadian Milos Raonic.
Marcos clinched a tight first set in the tie-break, converting his fourth set point as Raonic hit long with a backhand. However, Raonic struck back with a service break at the start of the second set to level the match, while Marcos needed treatment on a lower back injury from the trainer.
Marcos had his chances in the third set. He was denied on a break point at 3-4 courtesy of a second-serve ace from the 6’5’’ Raonic, and paid the price as he then surrendered serve in the ninth game by pulling a forehand wide at 30/40. He had an opportunity to draw level as Raonic served for the match, but could not convert and the 21 year old claimed victory in two hours and 15 minutes.
Marcos will complete his US Open preparations at next week’s Winston-Salem Open at Wake Forest University.
